How to Add a Key to the Happ Plus App
Without a key or subscription link, Happ can't reach a single server — but getting one into the app takes only a couple of taps.
Key vs. Subscription Link: What's the Difference
An access key is a string of parameters that links your installed app to your account and its server list. A subscription link does the same job, but it can refresh the server list on its own without any manual steps.
- Both are issued exclusively through the service Telegram bot
- There's no way to generate a key inside the Happ app itself — only the bot can produce one
- A single key generally works across several devices at once
For more on getting a key, see the Happ Telegram bot article.
Finding the Add-Key Screen
On first launch, the add-key screen in Happ usually opens on its own. If the app is already configured, you can add another key from the main screen.
- Look for the add-key or add-subscription button — often shown as a "+" icon
- Depending on the version, the screen may be labeled "Add configuration" or "Add subscription"
- The steps are identical across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iPhone, and Smart TV
Adding the Key, Step by Step
The sequence stays the same no matter which device you're on.
- Copy the key or link from the Telegram bot's message
- Open Happ and tap the add-key button
- Paste the copied text into the field
- Confirm — the app will pull in the list of available servers
If you haven't installed the app yet, start with the Happ download page.
Checking That the Key Was Added Correctly
It's worth confirming the result before you try to connect.
- At least one entry should show up in the server list
- The exact number and names of servers depend on your Happ Plus plan
- Connect to any server on the list — a status change to connected means everything worked
If the Key Won't Add
When adding a key fails on the first try, it's usually the key text itself or its expiration date.
- Make sure you copied the whole key, with no stray spaces at either end
- Confirm it hasn't expired — current plans are listed on the Happ Plus pricing page
- If the error keeps happening, request a fresh key from the Telegram bot
For a wider list of causes, see Happ not connecting.
